Metallogenesis and Formation of the Maliping Pb-Zn Deposit in Northeastern Yunnan: Constraints from H-O Isotopes, Fluid Inclusions, and Trace Elements

The Maliping large-scale Pb-Zn deposit is located in the Sichuan-Yunnan-Guizhou polymetallic metallogenic triangle area (SYGT), where ore body hosted interlayer fracture zone at interface between siliceous cataclastic dolomite and clastic rocks Lower Cambrian Yuhuchun Formation tectonically driven. Unlike other de-posits Sinian Carboniferous carbonate area, mechanism deep peripheral prospecting prediction research require further exploration. In this study, representative samples of a typical orebody profile were systematically collected, microthermometry fluid inclusions H-O isotopes metal sulfide trace element analyses performed. main findings as follows: (1) inclusion study showed that ore-forming fluids have vapor-rich phase reduction characteristics medium-low temperature, salinity, density. (2) isotopic studies are derived from mixing deep-source flowing through fold basement (Kunyang Group) or-ganic-containing basin brine. (3) Rare earth (REE) indicate materials primarily folded Group). (4) sphalerite relatively enriched Cu, Cd, Ga, Ge, while depleted Fe, Mn, Sn, Co, similar to Huize-type (HZT) area. Therefore, it suitable explore using “four step style” method for prediction. Moreover, results provide reference systems new ideas deposits
